About the course
The B.Sc Nursing programme (4 years) is intended to empower the students to get an extensive comprehension of Nursing based on clinical experience & class room learning. The yearly admission of students is 60. This programme is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences. Students need to take up University examinations (theory & practical) at the end of every year during their course.
The First year of the programmes includes various subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Nutrition, Biochemistry, Psychology, Nursing Foundations, English & computer Science. The Second year deals with Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Pharmacology and Sociology. The Third year focuses on Advanced Medical Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Nursing Research & statistics. Fourth year deals with Obstetrics & Gynecological Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Nursing Education, Management of Nursing service & Education.
Eligibility
Plus two with 50% marks in Biology, Physics, Chemistry & English put together.
Selection Process
Allotment for 50% seats will be made by the Govt. Admission to 50% will be from the ranklist prepared by the CPAS based on the marks of the qualifying Exam
